This is a typical trees-and-bunkers golf course. There is no water. The greens are large and gentle. Somewhat uneven ground yields some interesting uphill and downhill shots. The Lake Diamond Golf & Country Club started construction in 1998. It was designed by Miles Christian Anderson and is quite beautiful, with dramatic trapping and some breathtaking scenery. The water hazards are used for dramatic effect as well. The greens are big, quick and full of breaks. This is a semi-private golf course. There is also a Pro Shop where you can replace the damaged tees, buy new balls or try a trendy golf hat.
If you are not a fresher at this game and want to opt for an averagely difficult course, Huntington Golf Club is the perfect choice. Despite occasional hills, the course is basically flat with some sand and water. The medium-sized greens are fast and heavily sloped, with short par-5s from 503 to 517 yards. Whereas the par-3s are 166 to 196 yards and only one par-4 which is 400 yards. This is a semi-private golf course. Metal spikes are tolerated, but not encouraged. The green fees are subject to change. So go ahead and putt the ball.
This course has a number of copies of holes from famous courses. The course is secluded and in the midst of a dense Florida pine forest. A few of the replicated holes are: 8 and 9 from Royal Troon, 12, 13 and 16 from Augusta National, and 1 and 17 from St. Andrews. The experience is enjoyable, and the course is in good shape. A Par of 70, Back Tees of 5883 yards, Middle Tees of 5458 yards and Forward Tees of 4685 yards are the characteristics of this golf course. The Spruce/Creek Course is the simplest of the combinations at this venue, although not by much. While there is no water at all on the Creek Nine, there is a bit on the Spruce. There are traps to swallow carelessly struck shots and fast greens. All the holes are a bit short, even from the Back tees. This is a semi-private golf course. Soft spikes only.
The Links/Creek Course is one of three 18-hole options available at this 27- hole facility. Your greens fee covers as much golf as you care to play. Oddly, there is no water at all on Creek Nine; though there is a lot of sand, and the greens are fast. It is a very short, narrow course where placement of shots is paramount.
