Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland is a beautiful, magical, musical Christmas event not to be missed. Located in Nashville at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland is a fully orchestrated LED drive-through Christmas light show open to visitors from November 5th through January 2nd. Guests drive through the park and watch and experience Christmas lights which dance in time to a local radio station's Christmas music selection. Hadley Park was built in honor of Nashville's African American citizens nearly a century ago. After World War I, a memorial was erected with the names of brave African-American soldiers who lost their lives in battle. Today the park remains open to the public with many memorials to citizens who have made an impact on the city. You will also find ample space to enjoy a game of football, a picnic lunch or an afternoon of kite flying. Baseball diamonds and softball fields are available for league play, and a large playground area with swings and slides provide endless entertainment for children.

Bicentennial Mall was constructed to offer the city of Nashville a central location for multicultural events. It is only fitting, therefore, that this small gallery near the park displays the city's best African art. Photographer and gallery owner Carlton Wilkinson has spent the better part of his life putting together this collection of paintings, sculpture and photographs. He expresses his passion by providing space to local and regional artists. Exhibits change regularly, so call for the current artist and theme.

Just north of Nashville in Kingston Springs is the winding Harpeth River. Enjoy this natural waterway and the wildlife that lives in the protected reserve along its banks by canoe. At Tip-a-Canoe, paddlers can get in the water at a reasonable price for a four hour trip. Pack a lunch, grab some friends, and make a day of it. A shuttle will transport you and your party to and from the launch area.
