Centrally located, the Piestewa Peak is a part of the Phoenix Mountains. There are over a dozen trails which one can hike and enjoy a panoramic view of the Sonora Desert. For those who wish to only watch, the park affords that opportunity as well. Covered ramadas in a well-maintained picnic area allow visitors to observe the local wildlife and plants. Originally built in the early 1920s, this Santa Fe-style home near Camelback Mountain has become a haven for fine art classes and events. Displays include a 1890s replica of a Colonial-style mansion. Purchased by the city of Phoenix, it has been converted into an artistic center that includes a small gallery. Recognized artists from Arizona and around the country are featured in showcase exhibits and special events. Be sure to check out this museum during the week, but note that they are closed on Sundays and major holidays.

The Hall of Flame Museum houses a collection of firefighting equipment and memorabilia. There are antique fire trucks which are housed in this large space, all are restored to their former glory alongside various types of equipment. From the Civil War era to current firefighting methods, you will be amazed at the diversity and ingenuity. Any child aspiring to be a firefighter will love this place, as kids get to try on uniforms, operate a firetruck and take part in activities that form a part of a firefighter's daily life. The museum is located near the Phoenix Zoo and the Desert Botanical Gardens.

Encompassing a huge area of 223 acres, Westgate City Center is Glendale's premier mixed-use property that serves as a one-of-its-kind entertainment, shopping, residential and commercial destination!
