Take a drive northeast of Orlando and a just a little north of Daytona Beach to visit Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway on the other, this park provides a spectacular beach area for swimming, tanning and beachcombing. It is named after two legendary Floridians- the singer Gamble Rogers and the railroad owner Henry Flagler. The CityArts Factory is situated in the Downtown Arts District and displays one of the largest art collections in Orlando. Admission is free and local and international art exhibits are changed monthly. This is not your typical art gallery, since there are astounding presentations of visual and performing arts. The CityArts Factory building contains six independent art galleries on the first level. With the SAK Comedy Lab located on the second level. Amway Center is known for being a prominent sports and entertainment venue in Downtown. The facade and interiors of the center are designed by ace architects and are very eclectically built. It is well facilitated with a concourse, locker rooms, rest rooms, concert stage and so on. Events here include home fixtures of the Orlando Magic basketball team, other local tournaments, the famed NBA championship, WWE events, concerts, dance, theatricals and other gatherings in performing arts. Boom-Art By Rogers Studio, located in the downtown area of Orlando, provides a colorful and intriguing array of artwork created by two former circus clowns from a world-renowned circus. The studio may be small in size, but contains a mass of creative artwork ranging in price from a couple of dollars to over five hundred dollars. The artist, Glenn and Sandy Rogers, will convert anything you can imagine into unique artwork.
