Opened in 1896, the Museum Of Natural History & Planetarium offers an exciting range of over 250,000 exhibits that span across several centuries. Every animal on display is real and stuffed, be it the mollusks, birds, fish, mammals or reptiles. The planetarium opened in 1953, and despite constant technological innovations, the original projector used in the sky theater has still been kept for posterity. In 1837, the cathedral was established with the celebration of the first Mass. It is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence. The structure is made from brown sandstone and is a standing example of architectural brilliance. Inside the church, green marble is extensively used.
