Chateau Ste. Michelle is the oldest winery in Washington state and is one of the Country's most famous wineries. Some of Chateau Ste. Michelle's best wines are 2006 Eroica Riesling Ice, Columbia Valley Syrah, Ethos Chardonnay and Ethos Syrah. The winery strives to get the perfect blend by combining classic old wines with modern grape growing techniques. That's not all, because besides wine-making, the winery also conducts classes, workshops, events and wine tasting courses for those interested in the finer aspects of the drink. This is also a venue for some of the major musical concerts including performances by famous artists like Crosby, Stills & Nash and Mark Knopfler.

Stemming from what was a mere grocery store in Lakewood, the Pierce College has established itself as the largest educational institution in Seattle. Over the years, the college has made it a point to keep pace with the changing needs of the students and provide them with modern facilities. The over 40 year old college building encompasses an art gallery, a fitness center, a dental clinic and an internet café among other things. The Fine Arts Gallery displays artworks by national and international artists and is known to host art events and exhibitions occasionally. The College Center is used to host various athletic and sports events too. All in all, the college strives hard to make learning a pleasurable experience for the students and succeeds too!

The steep drop from the first tee onto the first broad fairway is as dramatic a shot as this course provides, but varied terrain throughout tests your skills. Fox, deer, waterfowl and other wildlife frequent the rural course. Fees vary according to the day of the week and the course. Reservations are recommended, but walk-on chances are good, especially mid-week and in the off-season.

Just south of Seattle sits this relatively short golf course about 5071 yards. Its string of modest par-four holes won't frustrate even the most inexperienced golfer. Two trickier holes and a sturdy bridge cross the Duwamish Slough on the back nine. The nearby freeway and airport make the course a little noisy. Please call the golf club for more information.
