This sprawling green stretch of land was donated by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and hence, the name, Goodyear Heights Metro Park. Opened in 1930, over the period of time, more trees and flower shrubs were planted and additional land was acquired, today visitors can see variety of beautiful trees and plants like oaks, tulip trees, pines, red maples and so forth. Apart from greenery and perfectly maintained lawns, the Goodyear Heights Metro Park also has excellent sporting facilities including sports like hiking, fishing, baseball and softball. Here, you can enjoy different activities with your friends or simply explore this wonderful park featuring a pond, paved walkways and shady woods. Open late till 11p, this park is certainly an oasis of the city.

Situated across Market Street, the Hardesty Park is a neighborhood public park. It is an ideal picnic spot and has something for everyone. Established in 1839, the Glendale Cemetery is worth a visit for its splendid architecture and garden. Included in the National Register of Historic Places, the Dunham Tavern Museum takes you back into the bygone era. Built by Rufus and Jane Pratt Dunham, it is touted to be one of the foremost buildings on the Euclid Avenue. This ancient house and its surrounding gardens provide detailed information about the early residents of Ohio and their culture. Whiskey Island is a region in Cleveland, located at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River, there are many attractions on this peninsula, the Historic Coast Guard Station being one of them. The station was operational till 1976, when the Ninth District headquarters shifted to the nearby North Coast Harbor. Currently, the Wendy Park Foundation and City of Cleveland have collaborated and making an effort to restore and revamp this historic landmark.
