This sprawling green stretch of land was donated by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and hence, the name, Goodyear Heights Metro Park. Opened in 1930, over the period of time, more trees and flower shrubs were planted and additional land was acquired, today visitors can see variety of beautiful trees and plants like oaks, tulip trees, pines, red maples and so forth. Included in the National Register of Historic Places, the Dunham Tavern Museum takes you back into the bygone era. Built by Rufus and Jane Pratt Dunham, it is touted to be one of the foremost buildings on the Euclid Avenue. This ancient house and its surrounding gardens provide detailed information about the early residents of Ohio and their culture.
