For 20 years, the citizens of Mableton have strived to make Mable House ground a place of activity and culture. Finally, their dream has come true. The amphitheater is constructed on the back of the Mable ground and after many successful and not-so-successful fund-raising attempts, the citizens finally managed to gain a quality outdoor theater. This place can accommodate over 2,000 people, and more often than not, the concerts or performances always begin with a local act - ready to open for the big show. This center, located in Dawsonville was awarded the "International Conservation Award" in the year 2002, for its success in saving the Matschie's Tree Kangaroo. What is a Tree Kangaroo?
