Lloyd Clifton customarily designs long golf courses. At West Orange Country Club, he has done fine work on a smaller scale. The course is short but good. Water is present on most holes. Sand traps pinch fairways and frame the tiny greens. The par-5s are split, with two short ones and two of medium length. The par-3s are short, as are the par-4s. This is a private golf course. Metal spikes are tolerated but not encouraged.
