Welcome to sea turtle country! This facility, operated by the National Marine Fisheries Service, is the only place in the U.S. where visitors can view the endangered Kemp's Ridley sea turtle hatchlings as they emerge and mature. You will learn all about the Ridley and other types of sea turtles from the facility's knowledgeable tour guides and view more than 600 living turtles in their saltwater tanks. Interactive exhibits demonstrate how the turtles are tagged for tracking and recovery. Group tours are available by reservation only, and are designed to be fun for visitors of all ages.
