At the corner of 7th and Boston in downtown Tulsa sits First Presbyterian Church, widely known as the first church in town. Chartered in 1885 by a Presbyterian missionary and 15 Creek Indians, the church has occupied various buildings on this site since 1911. The structure housing the current sanctuary was built in 1925 and is reminiscent of 16th-century Gothic architecture. However, the church actually occupies a number of buildings on this corner.
