Located three blocks from the Cherry Creek Mall, this shop is one of Colorado's largest fly fishing outfitters. The Flyfisher carries top brand gear, such as Orvis, Sage, Simms, Scientific Anglers and Redington. There are also rods and reels, fashionable and practical outfits, gifts, books and more. You can count on its knowledgeable staff to help you make the right choice from its large (and sometimes overwhelming) collections. If you need to brush up on your fishing skills, this shop offers classes and guided trips. Call for reservation information.
Stepping through this center's rustic two-tiered swinging doors introduces you to a world of mystery and delight. The shop is stuffed from floor-to-ceiling with assorted knickknacks and decorative art, ranging from hand crafted jewelry to picture frames and wind chimes to eclectic, off-the-wall birdbaths. It offers an imaginative alternative to the crowded, often generic super mall. A nice selection of greeting cards is also offered. Gift-wrapping and shipping are available.
The log walls, fieldstone fireplace and giant throw rug makes this tiny shop look more like a private cabin rather than a neighborhood clothing store. Once you get beyond the decor, however, you will notice the shop has a fine selection of T-shirts, Sports coats, Patagonia flannel shirts and other accessories. It also shelves a small library of fly fishing texts and guides.
For couples, friends, or even families who enjoy riding together, but cannot seem to keep pace with each other, this shop is the bicycling balm. Hop on one of these two-seaters and never again will you hear strained cries to "slow down," or "maybe if you would not have had that second helping of glazed ham you could keep up". What really stands out with this shop is that it sells nothing but tandems. In fact, it is the largest tandem source in the Rocky Mountain west. Ask the staff a question and you will quickly realize that these people know their product.
