The golf course at the Gulf Harbor Yacht and Country Club is a water-filled par 72. The semi-private course was designed by Chip Powell and has 83 bunkers. Watch out for the par-5 eighth hole, known as the "Hole of Fame." There's also a driving range, pro shop, and member lounge. Greens fees are $105 every day. Tee times are accepted. Carts have to be back by 7:30pm, and are included in the fee. The course is open year-round. No metal spikes allowed.
Albert Meadow Antiques specializes in twentieth-century decorative art and jewelry. Proprietor David Doherty offers period pieces such as jewelry from 1850 to 1940, Tiffany glass, and art nouveau glass. They also have gold, platinum, and diamond estate pieces, and Maxfield Parrish lithographs. The small store boasts a clientele of winter residents and tourists. The store is located across from the Bubble Room on Captiva Drive. Their store in Maine is open in July and August.

Marinatown Marina has 140 slips, and offers overnight dockage, showers, laundry, pool, and boat shop. They are located in North Fort Myers, on the north side of the Caloosahatchee River just west of the US 41 fixed bridge. The entrance is well marked, and the channel runs five feet. The harbor depth is 8 to 12 feet with negligible current. The docks are stationary, and the marina is a proven storm refuge. Sneaker's Bar & Grill and The Mariner's Inn are both nearby.

There are over 150 specialty stores, including The Disney Store, The Gap and Victoria's Secret. Strollers and wheelchairs are available. Use the mall shuttles to get around, or join the Mall Walkers. The food court includes chicken, pizza and Cajun. Parking is free.
Florida is famous for oranges, but what about Honeybells? Sun Harvest Citrus sells a wide variety of fresh Indian River citrus, including Honeybell tangelos when they're in season, both by mail order and at its "Big Green Packinghouse" located at the intersection of Metro Parkway and Six Mile Cypress. You can try fresh-squeezed juice or soft serve cones. There's also a deli and playground. For a behind-the-scenes look at the citrus industry and to see fruit squeezed into juice, free tours are offered November-April, leaving on the hour from 11am-3pm
Do not call the Bell Tower Shops a mall. The open-air shopping center is decorated with foliage, fountains and waterfalls. There are seats for people watching and covered walkways in case of bad weather. At either end are department stores Saks Fifth Avenue and Jacobson's. Most of the stores are upscale. There is also a 20-screen movie theatre and 10 restaurants, like Bistro 41 and Manatee Max. Live musicians entertain Friday and Saturday evenings, with FridayFests on the last Friday of each month. Parking is free and spread over several big lots.
