The picturesque city of Canton is just a short twenty-minute car trip north of Jackson. In addition to being one of the more typically Southern towns in the region, Canton also plays host to Mississippi's largest swap meet twice a year on the second Thursdays of May and October. While you're in Canton be sure to check out the historic town square with its quaint courthouse, the backdrop for filming of the John Grisham movie, A Time to Kill. Public transportation is available to Canton from Northpark Mall in Ridgeland.
Bee-Bop Record Shop is an off-beat music store located off of Interstate-55 in Maywood Mart. It carries all kinds of rare records and band memorabilia. The store sell used and new records and CDs.
