The store especially features local writers and there are several events throughout the year, such as book readings. Rowena's produces more than just jam! For January to October, visitors can tour the factory to see how Rowena's jams and jellies are produced; just be sure to book your tour in advance for just $2. It is also a popular tea room that has full English tea Thursday-Saturday. Choose from a selection of finger sandwiches, treats like pound cake, scones with their special jams or curd, and, of course, a pot of tea of your choice. The on-site gift shop (open Monday-Saturday) sells a variety of Rowena's sweet treats, or if you can't make it into the store, you can always order online and get your baked goods and jams delivered directly to your door.
