Are you looking for some Southern-style gifts to take back home, but want to avoid the tourist trap stuff? This shop brims with tasteful gift ideas. From local products to world-famous collectibles, this place has it. Locally made sorghum molasses, miniature cotton bales, collectible figurines and Christmas items fill the shelves and display tables. You will also find candles, sun catchers and inspirational calligraphy. This shop is more than just an average flower shop. There is a full-service floral shop in the back of the store where you can order live plants and bouquets, or buy individual rosebuds or other flowers by the stem. But the front of the store houses an interesting array of gifts. In addition to dried flower arrangements and wreaths, you will find collectible enamel boxes in the shape of miniature purses and teapots. There are Indian-style boxes and lanterns. A beautiful collection of handmade jewelery, wind chimes, hand-painted plates are also available. Additionally, there is a selection of decorative silver crosses and shelves full of stuffed animals by Gund.
Inspirational items fill this long and narrow shop, which also features a cappuccino bar. Enjoy one of the many blends of coffee at the bar, or take home a bag of your favorite beans. Bibles can be found along with prayer and inspirational books. Other topics include Christian business practices and evolution. A children's section features Veggie Tales videos, pre-school items and first communion mementos such as picture frames.
A small collection of mostly decorating items, this shop also features a few pieces of antique furniture. First Fruit Collection is the place to go if you are looking for decorator pillows. Sharing space with a fabric shop, this boutique has pillows with a variety of designs in many sizes. Other items include book-ends and figurines along with picture frames and some framed art. The inventory changes often so there is no telling what you might find. Yard and garden art cast in weather-resistant resin and brightly painted metal is also offered.
The exposed brick walls and pressed tin ceilings of this 1896 building set the stage for the antiques and reproductions for sale in this shop. Antiques include a nice selection of dining tables, buffets and china cabinets. An impressive collection of reproductions of elaborate Victorian silver napkin rings are on offer. There are also a variety of boxes, bookends, coasters and candlesticks that would make nice gifts. The shop has quite a few unique picture frames, some handmade.
This shop really does have antiques from England. And even if you don't plan on buying anything, it's fun to look at the cricket balls (antique and new), stained glass windows and heavy English pine furniture. Other items might include a cast iron dragon, possibly from a pub or crew oars dating back to the 1920s. Something more practical for travelers to take home would be the estate jewelry. Cat fans will love the half-dozen or so cats that freely roam the shop. Since 1985 the owner, Judy Davis, has taken in strays who now make the shop their home.
A mix of antique and reproduction pieces gives this mall a wide variety of offerings. You will find furniture and knickknacks along with mirrors, framed art and silverware. There is an extensive collection of doll clothes and children's clothes. If you are looking for a christening gown, this is the place to go. Additionally, Christian inspired art is featured throughout the mall. The storefront gives the appearance of a small shop, but the mall runs deep and fills two floors. The upstairs is only accessible by winding stairways in the front and back.
After firing off a few rounds on the range, either with their own weapons or rented gear, shooting fans can gather here for coffee and conversation in the front room, with its couches and television. The range also has a storefront that sells guns, accessories and ammunition. The owner is an authorized Smith & Wesson dealer and a gunsmith. Instructors at the range offer classes for beginners, including ones on gun and hunting safety. Also offered is a course for Tennessee residents seeking a permit to carry a weapon, such as those who carry cash deposits for business purposes.
This locally owned bookstore offers a variety of inspirational merchandise. Shoppers will find books, videos, cards, CDs, mugs, T-shirts and gifts depicting religious themes. For children, there's a nice selection of Christian-themed toys, comic books and games, along with the popular Veggie Tales merchandise. For the home, there are Thomas Kinkade collectibles and tapestries decorated with angels. The book section offers fiction, poetry and children's books, as well as Bibles, reference books and spiritual guides. Especially popular are Testa-mints-individually wrapped mints with a Bible verse.
Old-fashioned small town service is what you will find at this little shop with cigar store-style carved Indians in the front window. This is not a warehouse office supply store, but it does have a good selection of items for most office needs. Additionally, items that are becoming hard to find, such as ledgers, rub-on letters and rubber stamps, are in stock. Offset printing, copying, laminating and other print shop services are available. You can get a document notarized, and United Parcel Service (UPS) shipping is offered.
