A time-honored tradition on the island is a trip to Murdick's candy store. The shop has been selling high-quality fudge and brittle since 1887. To this day, the old fashioned fudge is cooked strictly in copper pots and cooled on a marble table. Try one of the many flavored fudge creations such as Cape Cod Cranberry, Chocolate Walnut or Butter Pecan; the list is extensive. If you cannot decide, this candy shop offers a combination package with three slices of fudge and Cashew Brittle for USD14.95. There are additional candy shops in Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven.

The garments, available in an assortment of colors, are made for comfort and durability. The shop itself features the work of local artists on the walls, and the sound of local musicians fills the air. There are three Martha's Vineyard locations to choose from; 2 Basin Road, Chillmark, 11 Basswood Lane, Chillmark and 36 Water Street, Vineyard haven.
