Four Preppy Paws is one of Boston's only high-end boutiques catering specifically to the well-cared for pooches that cruise posh Charles Street daily. Its location between the Boston Public Garden and the Bottom of the Hill (MGH T stop) makes it popular with commuters as well as residents. The store offers utility items such as brushes, shampoos and food items by natural brands including Dr. Harvey's, Wellness and Merrick. Four Preppy Paws is most famous for its unique selection of collars and leashes, which come in preppy plaids and Red Sox themes. The store will also customize just about anything for your pooch, including leashes, beds and clothing. Tourists may enjoy a visit to the Snack Shack, to view the elaborate spread of puppy pastries (and the occasional live diner). There are other items offered for the dog lover, including breed-specific stickers, decorative pillows, cards, keychains and other novelty items.
