Provenance Food & Wine, located on Logan Square, opened its doors in February of 2006. Its stock of wines and groceries, especially organic food, has made it popular with health buffs. Olives, meats, chocolate, pastas and cheeses are available, as are ice creams and sorbets. This is the place to head to if you're particular about what you eat. Free wine tastings are held on Saturdays. Other events such as book releases and food festivals are also organized from time to time.
