In operation for about twenty years now, Enzo's Restaurant On The Lake occupies an old house, converted into this attractive spot overlooking the pretty Lake Fairy. Here you can dine on fine Italian food served in a homely atmosphere accented by hardwood floors and terra cotta tile. On the menu, you'll find such opportunities like Antipasto as an appetizer and entrées that include Rack of Lamb, Veal Scaloppini, and pasta stuffed with shrimp and lobster. A full bar's available here, too.
Located across from a lake wholly created by Walt Disney World as a social experiment, this restaurant features yellow walls, white tablecloths, metal lamps and both indoor and outdoor dining. An antipasto for two boasts shrimp and calamari. Pasta options include fish and shellfish served over linguini. Veal Chops are featured, as they rarely are in Italian restaurants. Other options include Spaghetti with Pesto Sauce and a personal white pizza. There's a full bar and a small dessert menu with traditional favorites including cheesecake.
This restaurant may be located on Winter Park's upscale Park Avenue, but it's popular with diners of all budgets. They flock here for interesting fare with moderate price tags. Lunch selections include a Blackened Grouper Sandwich, and that all-American standby, the hamburger. For dinner, you might begin with Fried Calamari, then progress to such entrées as Chicken Tarragon or Pork Chops with Brandy Sauce. A full bar service is available too.

Although this restaurant is located in a nondescript shopping area, it may remind visitors of upscale pizza houses in Boston or New York. Tile floors, comfortable booth seating and a display case all help to set the mood. This spot offers a broad pasta selection. The spaghetti family, linguini, angel hair, etc, can be topped with any of six sauces. The menu also boasts Lasagna, Manicotti and other baked favorites. Most pasta dishes cost very reasonable. The pizzas are also popular, as are calzones.
Housed in a Winter Springs strip mall, this restaurant, nevertheless, provides patrons with a sophisticated dining experience. Comfortable booths, low lighting, and an attentive staff add to dining pleasures-that include such appetizer favorites as Baby Back Ribs, Beef Satay and Egg Rolls. Sesame Chicken and Peking Duck are prepared table side and beverages like beer, wine and tea are also served.

This restaurant is a local favorite, as much for its wide selection of seafood as for its relaxing atmosphere, replete with potted palms and soft pastel hues. Dinner here might start with escargots, then move on to any of 28 varieties of fresh fish on the menu. Among the favorites are Florida black grouper and a captain's platter that offers a sampling of Florida shellfish, including lobster tail and shrimp. For a dessert with Florida flair, Coconut cream pie is highly recommended.

Bikes, Beans & Bordeaux is known as "
"B3 to the regulars. It's run by a central Florida couple who care very much about health, bicycles, the community, the environment-and good bottles of wine. B3 is a welcoming neighborhood café that is both a wine bar and coffeehouse. The menu consists of a variety of fresh organic, vegetarian and low-fat selections for breakfast, lunch or light evening meals. The atmosphere is trendy yet causal and resembles a friendly café with bicycle art on the walls and on television too. Bikes, Beans & Bordeaux has separate wine and beer lists, special events and community activities. - Diane Dilov-Schultheis

Planet Hollywood is one of those eateries you visit more for the atmosphere than for the food. Founded by screen stars Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone, among others, the chain was built for those in love with the silver screen. Movie props are everywhere, and the food is good too. A popular spot in Downtown Disney, the restaurant's menu is comparatively simple, focusing its attention on such basic options as cheeseburgers, sandwiches and fajitas, with some interesting appetizers including a Texas Tostados and such light meals as Mushroom, Onion and Swiss Burger. This restaurant does not accept reservations, and as it's very popular, the wait for a table can be quite long. So make sure you get there early.
Don't look for the latest in chic European cuisine here. Instead, expect traditional Italian favorites lovingly prepared with fresh ingredients. The décor is typical of neighborhood Italian eateries; paper napkins, silk flowers and wine bottles on the tables. The food, however, is anything but typical. Feast on Chicken Cacciatore, spicy Grouper Fra Diavolo or the Fettuccine Bruzzi, baked fettuccine served with mushrooms, meat sauce and melted cheese and end a sumptuous repast with the ever-popular tiramisu. A carafe of house red wine is also available.
This small, family-owned eatery is generally considered to serve some of the best Cuban food in Central Florida. The prices will please even the most budget-conscious diners. Start with an appetizer of fried eggplant, stuffed potatoes or a Cuban Tamale. Entrees include Red Snapper Catalana and Cuban Beef Stew. Homemade rice pudding makes for a pleasant end to the meal. With all this wonderful, inexpensive food, you can easily forgive the ho-hum décor, which consists of a few hanging plants and pictures of Cuba.
