The Hilton Sedona Resort's dining room serves three meals daily in this casual, yet decidedly Southwestern ambiance. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out onto the resort grounds and the majestic red rocks surrounding the property. At lunch, try the Chipotle Chile Caesar Salad with chicken, shrimp or salmon or the Crab and Scallop Cake with strawberry-jicama salsa. Dinner highlights are the Pinon-crusted rack of Colorado lamb and the Breast of Muscovy Duck. House wines by the glass are priced at $5-8.

'The King's Ransom Quality Inn's' restaurant specializes in antibiotic-and-hormone-free beef for a meal of some of the purest protein available. The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in a relaxing, casual atmosphere. Breakfast specialties include Eggs Benedict, Belgian Waffles and Blueberry Pancakes. At lunch, a full menu of soups, salads, sandwiches and Mexican dishes are priced from $3-8. Forty guys named Joey-writers, sports figures and entertainers are honored here at Joey Bistro. Mediterranean-inspired furnishings give the room a formal feel but the "Joey" artwork around the room adds a touch of whimsy. Try the Cannelloni Freddi (crisp pasta shells filled with roasted eggplant pesto, sun dried tomato fennel purée, Gorgonzola and Mascarpone cheeses) are a Scottsdale Culinary Festival "Best Specialty Appetizer" winner. House specialty entrées include Joey Parmigiana, Piccata and Marsala, made with chicken or veal and Joey Classico Lasagne. The wine list (from USD18) includes Los Abrigados' private-labels.

As its name implies, this restaurant concentrates on well-prepared beef and billiards. The dining room has a "clubby" atmosphere and the billiards room features tournament-sized tables. There is a library lounge where you can sit by the fireplace and enjoy a fine cigar. Custom-aged steaks are served with soup or salad and a one-pound baked potato. Other entree selections included sauteed calamari steak, pork porterhouse and stir-fried prawns and scallops. The wine list includes the Los Abrigados Resort & Spa's private label.

The first restaurant to open in Tlaquepaque shopping and gallery village combines Mexican, Southwestern and Native American influences. Voted Sedona's best Mexican restaurant for 17 years by Red Rock News, it is a favorite to enjoy a house special Margarita Magnifica. Spanish-style furnishings, arched doorways and brightly colored tableware afford a festive feel. Burritos, enchiladas, tacos, tostadas and quesadillas make up the majority of the menu. Navajo Pizzas (similar to fry bread), Chiles Rellenos (stuffed chiles) and Chimichangas are also worth a try.

A relaxed hangout at the Enchantment Resort is the Mii Amo Cafe. Differing from the other dining venues in the resort, this restaurant offers preparations from the season's gifts, picked fresh and cooked to perfection. Grains, legumes, fish, poultry and seafood, all cooked sizzling hot after you ask for it. The Chefs make it a point to add a contemporary twist to the regional cuisine. Guests at the spa and resort are invited for a demonstration of the food being cooked in the 'enchanted kitchens'.

Lunch menu items include soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers. Dinner selections include what are purported to be, "The Finest Barbecue Baby Back Ribs in the Known Universe." Judi's homemade specialties like the Butter Brickle Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Pie are legendary. The award winning, full bar features wines by the glass.
