Serving Boise diners since the 1970s, this simple Thai restaurant is located in a strip mall. Even though the decorations are plain, it boasts one thing that no other Boise restaurant can: the only Thai cuisine in town. Meals begin with standard Thai soups, like Tom Kah Kai and Tom Yung Koong, and other traditional appetizers, such as a generous helping of spring rolls. Entrees include the popular Pad Thai, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, and even Chinese dishes, like Almond Chicken.

Trees surround the wrap-around windows at this popular pizza eatery. Offering pies in a variety of sizes, diners choose from a variety of pizzas, including garlic and eight other specialty pies. The Great White, one of the garlic choices, offers chicken, tomatoes, mushrooms, provolone and mozzarella on a garlic sauce. If pizza isn't your thing, there are 14 different pasta selections and tempting desserts, including a generous, sinful cheesecake.

What started as a tasting room for caterer John Berryhill's special events clientele is now one of Boise's best and most popular fine dining hot spots. Berryhill & Co. creates northwest cuisine, infused with flavors from around the globe. Be sure to check out the Sunday brunch buffet, which features freshly carved meats, seafood, egg dishes and more for $14. Reservations recommended. Banquet space is available.

Follow the locals to this Mediterranean restaurant, which offers friendly service and Italian dishes with a twist. Leaving Boise for a few hours, you are taken to the small Italian town that the restaurant is named for and the birthplace of Asiago cheese. The vineyard-influenced restaurant offers fresh pasta and a choice of about 15 sauces. Specialties include fish dishes and large salads. Complementing your meal is a long list of wines and microbrews, or try an after-dinner espresso. Space for private events is also available. 

Umbrella-covered patio tables spill out almost onto the sidewalk at this pizza joint in Boise's historic Hyde Park. In the summer, customers of Lucky 13 mingle, sipping cold beverages and munching on pizza slices. You can still see remnants of the restaurant's gas station origins, but this pizza parlor has been serving up pizza, not gasoline, since 1984. Try one of the specialties like the Camel's Back Pork Pie, named after a Boise landmark, or build your own pizza. Paying homage to the Broncos of Boise State University, this fun-loving 360-seat restaurant and bar is one of Idaho's largest pubs. Soaring ceilings and outdoor seating give the sports pub a touch of elegance. Next door is an entertainment room with pool and darts. The extensive restaurant menu is packed with standard pub fair and more, from quesadillas to sausage penne. With a movie theater located right next door, this is the perfect place for a snack before or after a show.

This inexpensive and popular Japanese restaurant serves up appetizers, Tempura, Teriyaki and over 40 types of sushi rolls in a laid-back ambiance. For starters, try the roll combination, which features California and cucumber rolls as well as ahi tuna. This bar has over a dozen big-screen televisions. For the sports nut, the satellite will pick up any game, any time. This neighborhood bar's mantra, "no lawyers," which has been on its sign for decades, holds true. If you practice law, and relish an old-style sports watering hole, keep your mouth shut. Lock, Stock and Barrel is locally famous for its prime rib and is consistently voted "Boise's Best Steakhouse." Diners will also want to try the seafood, fresh fish and all-you-can-eat salad bar. Choose from 30 imported beers, or make a selection from the wine bar. Soft lighting enhances the pictures on the wall, while Old West accents and wooden furnishings set the ranch-style atmosphere. Featuring an endless supply of food, this buffet-style restaurant fills you up on Egg Rolls, Dumplings, Hunan Beef, Roast Pork Lo Mein and other Chinese specialties. What the large and modern restaurant, located across the street from the Western Idaho Fair, lacks in original decor, it makes up for by offering a variety of dishes. When one item gets low, new dishes are quickly put in its place. There are even items for die-hard American food lovers, such as ribs and pizza. With banquet facilities for up to 300 people, the restaurant also features a Mongolian barbecue.
