A perfect little diner. Known for it's omelets, you can even try to answer the Killer Omelet Challenge: a dozen egg mom's omelet with their famous habanero salsa and a stack of 8 Charlie's Pancakes. In addition to Charlie's Cafe footing the bill, you get a t-shirt if you're able to finish it all in an hour, provided you don't leave your seat. Enrico's serves up homey Italian and Greek favorites in a charmingly cozy setting. It is run by John and Maggie Tsouris who formerly owned the Boulevard Cafe. Try the keftedes (Greek meatballs) or their incredibly tender souvlaki. On the Italian side of things, there is a selection of parmesan dishes, pasta, ravioli and the delicious baked lasagna. There is also a full bar and many delicious desserts are available, should you have the space at the end of dinner. Call for reservations; closed on Sundays.
Good vegan and vegetarian food is not always easy to come by in Norfolk but Dragon City serves up cheap, greasy, delicious Chinese cuisine that is vegan and vegetarian friendly. Their portion sizes are huge and they include generous helpings of fake meat in many of their dishes. Norfolk has a decent culinary scene but as far as Thai food is concerned, the pickings are pretty slim. Siam 21 is one of the few Thai gems located in the city and it regularly gets rave reviews about the quality of the food. Where the ambiance lacks, the food picks up points for authenticity and flavor. Eat in or take out.
