Standing the test of time, Olde Dixie Fried Chicken has been serving up Southern fried chicken for half a century. Look for the sign that has a large, colorful, friendly-looking chicken that is licking its beak and wearing a rebel flag hat, but do not let the somewhat "
"rundown look of the place keep you away. This long-time local favorite may not have modern or fancy décor, but the food more than makes up for it. Diners place their order at a counter and then wait in the adjoining dining room for their piping hot food. -Diane Dilov-Schultheis
