Come for the ice cream, stay for even more ice cream. There is a reason Doumar's is a staple at Norfolk, this ice cream parlor hand makes their waffles every day and if you come during the day you can watch them being made. They also have a lot more than just ice cream here, try their barbecue and burgers. This diner feels old fashioned complete with a drive-in parking area where you can order and eat in your car. The prices are from another era, with exceptionally cheap pork barbecue sandwiches, though you might have to eat more than one to feel full. You haven't really been to Norfolk until you've been to Doumar's.
