Zumi Sushi Japanese Restaurant is located in the heart of Hillsboro Village and offers a Japanese alternative for fast food. The focus is on delicious, healthy, fresh Japanese cuisine made to order in less than ten minutes. The atmosphere is stylish and sparse with an Asian emphasis on clean lines and simplicity. For a somewhat cozier experience, Zumi Sushi offers a back porch seating area that overlooks the activities of Belcourt Avenue. Unlike most sushi restaurants, guests at Zumi Sushi order at a counter and the food is brought to their table. Sushi rolls are creative, fresh and very tasty and the service is superb. -Lynn-nore Chittom

The International Market and Restaurant is a great combination restaurant and Asian grocery. Guests have the option to shop for hard-to-find Asian cooking essentials, order from the Chinese buffet or off a separate Thai menu. The buffet includes a huge selection of entrees and appetizers, and the prices on the buffet and menu are very affordable. The restaurant is set up cafeteria-style and the service is always very friendly. While the International Market and Restaurant may not offer the high-end, modern, Asian fusion experience, the food and service are consistently good and the prices can't be beat. -Lynn-nore Chittom

Owned and operated by an authentic and friendly Chicagoan from the Southside, this tiny, hole-in-the-wall joint offers delicious food and fabulous service while topping the charts for cleanliness. The namesake Italian Beef - or Italian sausage sandwich, for anyone needing a translation - is absolutely fabulous and the add-on peppers are a must have! The huge menu also features a wide variety of more common sandwiches, some hibachi grill specials, a bit of Mexican and a variety of Chicago style pizzas, but save those for your second visit. - Lynn-nore Chittom
Far East Nashville is a delightful newcomer to the East Nashville restaurant scene. Bringing the tastes of Vietnamese fusion cuisine to East Nashville, the restaurant is a big hit in Music City and a must for travelers. This spotless, upscale restaurant is located amidst the trendy boutiques of the East Nashville neighborhood. While the menu is still expanding, the current dishes are fabulous. The beef Pho is delicious, although the traditional accompaniments are limited to Thai basil and sprouts. Additional options, such as chilies, can be requested. Far East Nashville is working hard to accommodate vegetarian customers and offers tofu alternatives on most dishes. - Lynn-nore Chittom
