Feast on fish and chips (8.95) or splurge with the steamed island lobster (15.95), said to be the best-priced lobster on Martha's Vineyard. The setting is casual and an outdoor patio is open when the sun shines. While you relax and enjoy the spectacular view, the children will be entertained by passing boats and jumbo hot dogs.
A meat smoker in the back of this restaurant and a pile of hickory, oak, apple and mesquite wood stacked nearby sets the stage for a flavorful feast. Smoke 'n Bones, the island's only rib joint, opened in 1997. The food is great and the kids will get a kick out of the marble bone doorknobs and the hole cut in each tabletop for discarded ribs. Like any restaurant of its kind, take-out is a large part of the business. Call ahead for hours of operation.
