The catchy jingle on their website says just about everything you need to know about Stella's. Promising the flavor of New York in west Texas, Stella's has a hard role to fill, but it is up to the challenge. At lunch, take advantage of the "Lunch in a New York Minute" where meals are served in less than 20 minutes. Or stop in on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays for a bit of live music. Stella's also has a wine club for those who are so inclined. The first Stella's opened in New York, so it is no surprise that the family business is doing well in Lubbock too.

Love Asian fusion but don't have time to sit down for a long meal? No problem, Pei Wei has got you covered. Although not quite as fast as a fast food restaurant, the food comes out quickly after your order and is fresh and delicious. There is a wide variety of options, and you can easily substitute different meats of vegetables to ensure that what you eat is exactly what you want. Feel free to indulge in traditional favorites like Pad Thai or Lo Mein Noodles, or go for something a little less conventional such as Dan Dan Noodles or Asian Coconut Curry. And at the end, you get fortune cookies just like any Chinese restaurant worth its salt. Low price, good food, and a fortune cookie?

This Texas-based chain is a Texan favorite with restaurants all over the state. The food is mostly comfort food, with plenty of delicious fried treats, as well as some healthier-options for the vegetarian or health-conscious. Try the Crispy Fried Catfish, Chicken Fried Steak, or Meatloaf made right in the cafe. For lighter fare, there are sandwiches or try an appetizer such as Spinach & Artichoke Dip or Jumbo Crispy 'Shrooms. For the kids, there is a children's menu in which all meals, as long as the parents say it is ok, is served with Oreo cookies!

One of the best parts of the 50 Yard Line Steakhouse is the menu. Besides listing all the delicious food that can be obtained, it is cleverly and amusingly presented. Appetizers are known as the "starting line-up," and the categories of "Coaches Favorite" and "Sideline" have fun entries. Try a Field Goal of catfish, shrimp, and crab bites or a Player of the Year which is a hamburger on a sourdough bun. Besides steak, the restaurant is also known for its blueberry muffins, and sells it "secret ingredient" so it can be replicated at home.
