Originally a post office and general store, The Old Post Office Restaurant features an excellent menu of low country specialties and regional favorites. Converted in 1988, this is one of the only white-linen restaurants you will find on Edisto Island. Recommended items include the Low Country Escargots (which are actually oysters) swimming in a delicious broth, the tender "Fussed Over" Pork Chop, and the famous creamy grits which are slow-cooked all day long and served alongside most entrees.
