This eatery, located in a Victorian-style home, has a cherry dining room with yellow walls and navy curtains. The restaurant is suitable for all: retired folks, businesspeople, families, and couples. The food, which is made from scratch to order, is very good. In fact, their burgers were rated "The best burgers on the planet" by Buffalo Spree Magazine in 2009. The burgers are really big, pink and juicy inside and grilled to perfection on the outside. Sides include sweet potato fries, served with honey butter, regular fries or chips. The menu features a variety of items from salads and sandwiches to pitas and wraps. This strictly take-out pizzeria offers a huge menu of Italian specialties. In addition to the usual pizza, wings and subs that you find at your typical pizzeria, you'll also find baked ziti, ravioli, and lasagna and more. Having a party? Johnny LaBella's has a reasonably priced catering service with a variety of party packages to choose from. Papa Leo's is known for their award-winning pizzas, including Best Steak Pizza and Best Buffalo Chicken Pizza at the 2009 Buffalo Pizza Bash, along with several awards in the annual Taste of Niagara. Traditional, as well as specialty pizzas, with names like Hawaiian Eruption and Mexican Fiesta, are on the menu. Choose from a variety of hot and cold subs, as well as oven baked subs. Their wings are big and juicy, and come in mild, medium, hot, extra hot, BBQ, butter garlic, honey garlic, honey BBQ, and honey mustard. You can also order chicken fingers. This locally-owned and operated pizzeria has a menu that features standard pizzeria fare plus more, using only the freshest ingredients. Traditional pizzas are on the menu of course, along with gourmet pizza selections, like chicken cacciatore pizza, Greek pizza, and broccoli chicken pizza. Chicken wings come in mild, medium, hot, BBQ, and honey mustard. For lighter fare, choose a fresh salad, including Asian chicken salad, turkey club salad, julienne salad, or fajita salad. An assortment of cold, frilled, and hot subs are available. Franco's also has some Mexican dishes, including beef burrito, steak fajitas, and chicken fajitas. Picasso's Pizza has earned the distinction of being Western New York's premier pizzeria. They carry a lot more than pizza here. Start out with an appetizer, perhaps stuffed hot peppers, pizza logs or mozzarella sticks. Featured salads include antipasto, julienne, grilled chicken, chicken Caesar, chopped salad, and even a meatball salad. They are noted for their mozzarella garlic bread, served with a side of sauce for dipping. They even have bread called "kitchen sink bread." Also on the menu is pasta, like spaghetti, and Italian dishes like chicken and veal parmesan. Wing varieties include hot, medium, mild, Italian baked, BBQ charred, and hot BBQ charred. There are almost two dozen premium subs on the menu, as well as a dozen classic subs. Naturally, pizza is their specialty. All their dishes are presented beautifully, and their sushi bar offer a huge selection of sushi and sashimi, along with a variety of rolls. This family-run restaurant offers authentic Thai dishes; the family is originally from Thailand. As with many Thai restaurants, their signature dish is Pad Thai, which is one of the best known Thai dishes, made with sautéed rice noodles, bean sprout, green onion, peanuts, and Thai spices, topped with your choice of meat (chicken, beef, pork, shrimp or tofu). You might want to start out your meal with Ka Nom Jeb (Thai dumplings made with seasoned ground chicken), or Tom Yum (a slightly sour and spicy soup). Other entrees include curry dishes, like Gaeag Kheeo Wan, better known as green curry, or Gaeng Dang, a spicy red curry dish. For casual dining, choose from one of their many pizzas baked in a wood fired oven. Some of the pizzas include margarita, BBQ chicken, and Buffalo chicken. If you like soup, try Carmine's pasta e fagiole or chicken tortellini. Entrees include stuffed eggplant parmesan, chicken cacciatore, and veal picatta, along with a number of pasta dishes, like angel hair with chicken bruschetta, neptune seafood supreme, and penne with greens and sausage. Tom's is one of the few 24-hour, family-friendly restaurants in the suburbs that's not a national chain. This bright, cheery restaurant is advertised as WNY's original home of the souvlaki, so naturally Greek dishes dominate the menu. Besides regular breakfast fare, Greek selections like the souvlaki breakfast, the gyro breakfast, and the Greek omelet are all served 24 hours. They are reported to have the best hash and eggs in Buffalo. For lunch, try Tom's garden wrap, an original creation that features a pita stuffed with veggies and feta cheese and topped with Tzatziki sauce. For dinner, choose from souvlaki, gyros, moussaka, pastitsio, or Greek roasted chicken. They also have a traditional Buffalo fish fry on Tuesdays and Friday.
