Located between Dixie Stampede and Highway 65, this Mexican restaurant has been serving local customers and tourists alike for many years. The menu offers selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner that will suit the tastes of everyone in your party. Breakfast choices include items such as Huevos Rancheros, Huevos Con Chorizo and Huevos A La Mexicana. For lunch, you can choose tacos, enchiladas, burritos or any number of other specials 5. This restaurant takes its name after a fictitious character that was always able to get out of a scrape and bring home his big-game trophy. After a few minutes here, you can almost hear his braggadocios British drawl as he spins a yarn about one of the many mounts that watch you dine from the walls. A massive assortment of locally inspired dishes shares space on the vast menu with exotic entrees. Try the Mixed Grill of Game (USD26.95), which offers an assortment of ostrich, duck and wild boar sausage with a selection of sauces.

Right next to the Grand Palace Theater of Branson is a small '50s-style diner guaranteed to take you back to yesteryear. The staff is made up of aspiring actors, singers, musicians and songwriters, and it is not uncommon for one or a group of them to break into song and dance as they cavort around the tables. The menu is themed as well, featuring selections such as Cheese Release Me, a grilled cheese sandwich with all the trimmings for $5.29. Try the Love Me Tender Fried Steak for $8.59. A complete soda fountain lines the back wall with more than 15 flavors of soda and over 25 flavors of ice cream.

It is late, everyone is tired and you cannot decide on a place to eat. The kids are arguing between pizza and Chinese, and you and your spouse just want something that will stick to your ribs. This place will satisfy everyone. The buffet is stocked with all sorts of midwestern favorites, including catfish and beef. A dessert bar and bakery round out the offerings. Located in a 60-year-old building that has served as a general store, smokehouse and diner, this breakfast and lunch restaurant prides itself on serving up meals that could have come from grandma's kitchen in the nearby hills. Everyday, diners opt for a blue plate special that ranges from black-eyed peas and cornbread to pork chops and mashed potatoes. A daily special of smoked ham and beans, cornbread, onions and real butter is affordably priced. If you want a chance to try the meats that are smoked right on the premises, order Rex's Hillbilly Club Sandwich, a combination of smoked turkey, ham, and bacon.

Docker's is built to resemble a stern-wheeled steamboat. Owners Don and Noela Kirkland pride themselves on providing a great dining experience that is tasty, yet quick, allowing you ample time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Branson. Breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, pancakes, French toast, waffles, biscuits and gravy, and an assortment of meats. The dinner buffet is the real extravaganza. The venue is open daily from 7 a.m.

A pure country and western atmosphere awaits you at this massive steakhouse and dance hall. The dining room seats more than 200 guests, and the upstairs bar and dance hall rocks to the tunes of the B.T. Bones House Band, Joni Carter and Route 66. The bar regularly hosts celebrity guest bartenders. This is a steakhouse, so do not ask for frou-frou foods like Trout Almondine. Just know what cut of meat you want and how you want it cooked. The prime rib is one of the most succulent ones you'll ever eat.

Although the menu is not vast, the soups, sandwiches and hand-dipped ice cream served here are all homemade, as are the incredibly delicious cobblers that absolutely have to follow your meal. The bright and airy restaurant, with French doors and shake shingles, resembles a country home. A large patio provides diners with a spacious outdoor experience. The menu is simple; its offerings include roast beef, ham, turkey, and barbecue pork sandwiches, tuna and chicken salads, hot dogs, chili dogs and sloppy joes. Sandwiches range from $2.95 to $4.95. Daily specials start at $4.95 and include your choice of one of the following: soup and sandwich, soup and cobbler a la mode, or sandwich and cobbler a la mode.

For the last decade, this restaurant has been serving up family fare at affordable prices to Branson locals and visitors alike. With space for more than 180 guests, the restaurant welcomes buses and tour groups with its all-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and seafood buffets. Light wood paneling graces the walls, which house the numerous awards this restaurant has earned. The tables are also made of wood and are decorated with linen napkins and fresh-cut flowers. The breakfast buffet is probably the most extensive in Branson, with fresh fruits taking up half of the buffet table. For dinner, the seafood buffet, complete with steamed clams, crab legs and frog legs.

Since this center caters only to bus and tour groups, it has acquired the ability to feed and entertain large groups in style. You will be tempted to wear straw hats and bandannas and sing silly hillbilly songs as you are served succulent pit-barbecued pork, or to relive your childhood as you get a chance to meet Santa Claus during an unforgettable Christmas dinner. The staff offers a variety of group meals, the most popular of which is the pig roast. Pit- barbecued pork is served with barbecue sauce, coleslaw, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, rolls and fruit cobbler. You might also want to try the fish fry, which consists of deep-fried catfish filets, coleslaw, green beans, new potatoes, hush puppies and cobbler.
