Trophy Cupcakes is one of Seattle's many new upscale cupcake boutiques that have been popping up since around 2005. What sets Trophy apart, however, is that their shop is amazingly beautiful. It is evident in their appearance, literature, and logo that they used a fine graphic designer to give them a truly established presence. That being said, their cupcakes (which have been featured in national magazines and on the Martha Stewart show) are little works of art that taste like heaven. In addition to standard flavors, there are daily specials like snickerdoodle, chocolate peanut butter, s'mores, and chai cardamom. They're a bit pricy, but are great to share with a friend and a cup of coffee.

This popular establishment is Wallingford's answer to the Irish pub. The hearth, antiques and stained glass add elegant touches to the traditional atmosphere. Darts and weekend Celtic music add to the fun. The fare is a sampling of traditional Irish dishes including fish and chips, hearty stew, sandwiches and burgers. The bar serves a dozen or so draft beers including hand-drawn Guinness, of course. A selection of Irish whiskies, Scotch and bourbon is also available.

Guild 45th Street Theatre is located in two separate buildings that share one ticket window but have their own concession stands. The larger Guild I, built in 1919 as a live stage, has slightly less comfortable seats. The smaller Guild II, added in 1983, features stadium seating and ideal viewing angles. Both theaters have crying rooms (for babies, that is) and Dolby Digital sound.
Namesake Mona Lisa might find much to smile about here. This enchanting spot manages to combine elegant service and great food with a convivial atmosphere. This place is recommended for romantic occasions. The dusky lighting and unimposing music encourage warm conversation. The menu changes often, but you can expect favorites like steamed shellfish, prime-grade steaks and intriguing salads. There is a full bar in the adjacent dining room, with a tapas menu.

A charming brick building with colorful flower boxes lining tall mullioned windows houses this friendly restaurant/bar. One side features white linen cloths and romantic candle sconces, the other a bar, bare wood tables, and festive white lights strung through twig garlands. A snack menu is available on the bar side, with full menu available to both. Offerings reflect a Mediterranean influence on fresh Northwest ingredients, like Aunt Voula's Taramasalatta with grilled pita, or lemon-thyme chicken with grilled Walla Walla onions and bing cherry balsamic relish. Don't miss the (seasonal) strawberry shortcake with wildflower honey cream. Interesting, affordable wine list.
