This cozy pub features a variety of Irish ales and a decent sandwich menu. There is Guinness, of course and Caffrey's, Bass and several others on tap. The O'Mally's Amber, a distinctive micro brew with a touch of bitter and a smooth finish, is recommended. The sandwiches include a generous Philly cheese steak and various burgers. The corned beef and cabbage with red potatoes melts in your mouth. There is ESPN on the TV, a regulation pool table in the back room, and darts.

You are enjoying a three-course gourmet dinner aboard the elegant Delta King, afloat in the Sacramento River, when all of a sudden there is a flash, a loud bang and the scent of gunpowder fills the room. As a seemingly-random diner falls to the floor, various characters in the dining room begin acting very suspiciously. You have just entered the Suspects Dinner Theater zone and for the next two hours you will be wondering Whodunit? This is only one of the productions mounted by the Delta King Company. There is also an overnight package offered.

There is plenty of entertainment in this cozy, converted Victorian mansion in midtown Sacramento. The space of Thistle Dew Dessert Theater has a living room feel to it, with only 39 seats. Many plays performed on the intimate proscenium stage are one-act productions. Some of these plays are written with the intimate dimensions of the theater space in mind and to promote audience interaction. As the name implies, there are desserts such as delicious cheesecakes, tortes and big cookies. But no alcohol is served.

London has fog and pubs, so does Sacramento. One of the most popular British/European theme pubs in the area has a dark, antique, and generally cluttered atmosphere. It just calls for you to down a Guinness and toss a dart. You will find a good selection of European beers, stouts and ales to drink while relaxing in the private booths or scattered armchairs. Munchies include British favorites such as fish and chips or pasties.

Club 2-Me has a couple of unique features for what is basically a bar where people go to meet new friends. There are always far more men than women here. Although it seems to be open all time, it really does close at 2am; however, by 7am it is back to business as usual. It features a good selection of tap beers and pretty stiff bar drinks. The decor is sports oriented with pool tables and darts to entertain the crowd.

Nestled in midtown, the Raven Club offers chilled drinks in their cozy little ambiance. If the Sacramento Kings are playing, the game will be on TV and you will be able to hear the play-by-play over the usually peaceful crowds who walk in from the surrounding residences. Well drinks are cheap and the popcorn is free. You can also try beating your friends over a game of dartboards and one or two funky video games!

Round Corner, the name of this place, refers to the game of billiards, but you had best call it pool, here. The tables are the center of activity and after about 4pm they attract a crowd of good players, so do not look for a recreational game. The bar is basic with just a few beers on tap. Happy hour is generous lasting from 5pm to 7pm, seven days a week. Televisions are scattered around and the booths are comfortable for relaxing.

The orange exterior and green awnings easily identify Cafe Melange-breakfast and brunch cafe. For breakfast, choose from pancakes, eggs to order, French toast, ham and fried potatoes. The menu has a variety of muffins, doughnuts, cakes, pies, Danish and many other sumptuous pastries. Sandwiches, soups and salads are available for brunch or an early lunch. Relax and sip coffee outside on the sidewalk or inside in the loft. Also offered are teas and a great selection of ice cream and fruit smoothies.

The Distillery is the place to go for a drink, meet people, enjoy live bands and eat a great steak dinner. The entrees consist of large, hot and juicy steaks sure to delight any dedicated carnivore. Wednesday through Saturdays, guests are entertained by tunes from some of the areas top bands, singers and musicians. Despite the close quarters, the sound is great. The music ranges from rock to punk and reggae.

Sidelines Sports Bar & Nightclub is the place to come for a drink, to watch the game or to dance. While the games are on, this gathering spot offers the stereotypical sports bar ambiance. A well-stocked bar that mixes them strong, a few pool tables, and approximately 50 big-screen TVs show any and every game in town. Once the final buzzer sounds and the weekend comes, the sports buffs depart and the dance crowd takes over. The bar features a driving selection of rock-pop and techno-disco that lures dancers onto the dance floor.
