Truly a haven for those who appreciate the finer things in life, La Diosa Cellars is the dream of Sylvana, the owner. Inspired by her father's love of Spanish cuisine, her own appreciation for art, and her father-in-law's appreciation for Texan wine. La Diosa Cellars is the only winery in the city limits of Lubbock and produces about 2000 cases a year. La Diosa also sells other Texan wines and is a great place to sample the flavors of the region. During lunch, delicious paninis such as Tropicano Julian made with walnut-crusted chicken, pineapple, Swiss cheese and spinach, are available. A variety of tapas, salads, soups, and pizzas are on the menu for most of the day. The space is decorated with art and functions as a gallery by showcasing single artists.

If you are coming to Lubbock for some sort of large event, chances are that it is held in the Memorial Civic Center. Dedicated to the people who lost their lives in the 1970 Lubbock Tornado, the Civic Center was constructed just after the tornado and showed the spirit and resilience of the people of Lubbock. The Center has an exhibit hall, a banquet hall, theater, pedestrian mall & plaza, and meeting rooms. The largest space, the exhibit hall, can seat just under 5,000 in auditorium style seating. Great for parties and receptions, the plaza is a pretty space with landscaping, running water, and bridges.
