Voodoo Lounge is the prototypical South Florida mega club. It has all the right elements- gigantic size (10,000 square feet), house, trance, and hip-hop music booming from a state-of-the-art sound system, and lots of sweaty, dancing people. The place is so big there's a club within the club, called Club Envy, which features completely white walls and furniture and plays hip-hop and R&B exclusively. Subtlety is not what the Voodoo Lounge is about, starting with the neon pink sign above the door and going on from there. The crowd consists mostly of pretty singles of all orientations looking for a good time, though Sunday night drag shows attract an even wilder crowd than usual. Voodoo Lounge is the type of club that people in the know think of when they think of South Florida nightlife, and no trip to Fort Lauderdale for a club-head is complete without a stop there.

This one-of-a-kind place is situated in South Florida and is a hit among the theater lovers. The cocktails served during the pre-show are a nice way to start an evening filled with laughter. If you don't need alcohol to raise your spirits you can give it a miss, as the mirthful shows will do it for you instead! Try the crab and chicken for dinner, as it comes highly recommended. The wine-list is pretty extensive too. The stage is constantly used by comedians and satirists alike so there's something for everyone.
