The Gothic Theatre has an illustrious history. Started in the twenties, the theatre was more than just a movie theatre, it was a place to meet friends and family. It was also the first theater in Denver to show talking movies. Today the grand art deco style of the theatre is still dominant and it has now been turned into a world-class music center. In keeping with the move, the Gothic has installed state-of-the-art sound and light systems, doing justice to visiting bands like The Rebirth Brass Band.

The Little Bear Saloon really is a step back in time, from its whimsical, wood-plank Wild West exterior, to the building's colorful past (the bar was once a drugstore and before that, a church). It is very popular with locals and visitors and is one of the liveliest bars in town, with live entertainment six nights a week. The live music is a colorful blend of folk, country, bluegrass and acts are both local and national. A typical bar food menu is available for the peckish. Check the website for details of upcoming shows. Open daily at 11am.
