As one of the original anchors of the Black Hawk gambling scene it has an up on customer conveniece. It is one of the few casinos to provide bus service to and from Denver. And its restaurant menu is extremely cash-friendly. Ribeye steak, pork loin , and pasta and Mexican dishes. It offers 860 slot and poker machines and nine black jack tables. Valet parking is free with validation. Sports fans can wander in to the adjoining Bullpen and watch the games on its hive of big screen TVs.

This sprawl of a casino looks, from the outside, to be large enough to be considered a suburb of Black Hawk. The interior is an odd mix of rustic wooden beams and wooden staircases with beeping and buzzing machines. It offers a whopping 840 slot machines, 12 poker tables and 15 black jack tables-the largest collection of tables in town. Parking and well drinks are free. Four bars and three restaurants of varying menus and price ranges underscore the casino's convenience factor.

More so than any other Black Hawk casino, this throwback conveys a dusty, spur wearing sense of the Wild West. The slanted front sidewalk is lined with weathered wooden planks and the inside casts expectations of "where are the dancing saloon girls?" The mounted heads of elk, pronghorn, and other wild game adorn the walls adding an "I've-never-seen-that-in-a-casino-before" touch. Black Hawk Station crams in 109 slot and video poker machines and two black jack tables. So come by and try your luck for fun.

This brick-bulk of a casino tries to mirror the Mardi Gras itself with live jazz musicians and costumed people on stilts greeting you at the door. You half expect that instead of winning cash you will instead receive a jackpot of beads! It offers 700 slot and poker machines and nine black jack tables. Free well-crafted drinks to players feed the lively atmosphere. There is also ultra-convenient free indoor parking. The third floor Cafe Orleans serves authentic Cajun fare like like Jambalaya, Catfish, and BBQ Chicken, thus, making it a spot that is more than just a gambling venue.

Despite its hotel claim do not expect to find lodging. It is a name not based on fact; kind of like the Los Angeles Lakers, or the Utah Jazz. What you will find, however, is gambling in an intimate setting in a building which was built in 1869. It features 460 poker and slot machines and seven black jack tables scattered among its two floors. Free drinks are provided to all players. The on-site restaurant features steak, crab legs and barbecue ribs. Free valet parking is offered with validation.

Like its mothership in Vegas, this Riviera Black Hawk Casino too combines gambling with oh-so-good entertainment. Its Grand Ballroom features Vegas-imported acts in comedy and music, as well as boxing. The casino, which features 987 slot and poker machines and 12 black jack tables, is very customer friendly. Drinks are free to all players, and upstairs, away from all the noise, is the World's Fare buffet. It features world-class bites from around the world and a salad bar that is the size of a small tour bus. There is also valet and ample self-parking.

This block long casino employs the "canyon" theme as its niche attempt. A majority of the interior walls try to resemble rock making it look like Fred Flintstone provided the interior decorating. The casino itself features 600 slot and video poker machines. Drinks are free to players. The Canyon Grille offers a nice choice of steaks and sandwiches, and is enough removed from the buzz of the casino so as to enjoy a quiet meal. Free parking is available.

Aurora, CO 80010

Located along a dilapidated portion of East Colfax Avenue that is surrounded by pawnshops, the Aurora Fox is a shining neighborhood jewel. A converted movie house, the 250-seat theater now serves as a stage for contemporary plays and lighthearted musicals. The main groups associated with the Fox are the Aurora Theatre Company, the Aurora Singers, and the Aurora Symphony. Most performances occur on the weekends and the Sunday matinees are very popular. During summer, the theater provides children's programs performed by the kids themselves.

Wits End Comedy Club has been a mainstay of mirth in Denver. Priding itself on clean acts, this club consistently attracts some of the top comedians in North America, while still maintaining reasonable ticket prices. Every seat offers a good view of the stage, and non-smoking sections are available for each performance. The well-trained staff serves drinks and snack food from a full bar. Free parking is available.

There is nothing quite like spending a summer Colorado evening listening to your favorite music under the stars. Fiddler's Green is a comfortable setting for a diverse range of outdoor concerts, providing both general admission lawn seating and reserved seats closer to the stage. More than 20,000 spectators can pack into the place and an array of food and alcoholic beverages are readily available. A noise ordinance calls for all shows to end at 10:30pm. Parking can be a nightmare, so make sure you are in a legal spot before leaving your car.
