Highland Lake Bar, part of ABIA, a bar close to the airport is a good place to drop by especially to kill time in case of flight is delayed or so. Lefty's Bar & Grille may sound like a regular bar but it's not mainly because it's located at the airport. Secondly, the ambiance here is quite trendy while the staff is professional to the core. The drinks and the bar food are equally good, which are priced very reasonably. This is one of those bars where, one would find many tourists, many of 'em not speaking your language, which makes this bar all the more interesting. Not to mention the live music played here by talented local artists, almost throughout the year.
Bates Recital Hall known mainly as the 700 seat hall which hosts almost all types of symphony orchestra, solo performances, bands and so much more. It's one of the most spacious halls in Texas. The seating is very comfortable and sometimes it does gets a little chilly in here. Few of the past events here were the Holiday Organ Concert, Miro Quartet and Mark O' Connor. Students into orchestral type of music get quite a number of opportunities to practice and perform out here, while visiting musicians is a usual aspect of this hall. If ever get a chance to witness a concert at the Bates Recital Hall, please don't waste it. A great experience guaranteed.
Boomerz is one of the most casual nightclub and bar one could ever be at. The interiors of this fine establishment are quite welcoming. A place where you will encounter a mixed aged friendly crowd over 21 years of age of course, and the staff here too are bankable and attentive. The music here is quite electrifying while the lighting fixtures are smartly placed. The dance floor is fairly big. This slightly dim lit bar also has karaoke nights and live music. Canary Hut Pub is a smoke-free pub with a dimly lit ambiance. The atmosphere in here is pretty laid back and casual. Plenty of scoop chairs around the bar.
