This Aspen mainstay, located inside the Hotel Jerome, has been pouring cold drafts since the 1890s. It is a favorite of locals who affectionately refer to it as the J-Bar. A big wooden bar with a mirrored backdrop dominates the room and exudes an old-time feel that begs one to hunker down with a beer and a newspaper. An adjoining room with a large screen TV is a prime perch for sports watching and somehow does not detract from the bar's vintage feel. The menu is classic bar food fare and features burgers, sandwiches, salads and appetizers. The bar is full service and offers a great beer selection of imports, domestics and microbrews.

Since 1889, this landmark has been the center of Aspen's cultural scene. Listed on the National Registrar of Historical Places, the building has experienced two major renovations and to this day looks like it did when it first opened. This casual, non-stop restaurant is the closest eatery you will find to being the sure thing in terms of food selection, atmosphere, views and convenience. The deck, which overlooks Fanny Hill, is ideal for soaking up the Colorado sun while on a lunch break from skiing, or for apres ski. It offers ski-in/ski-out convenience. The dinner menu features steaks, ribs, pizza and fish. There are several pasta dishes including the Jamaican Jerk Pappardelle, which features jerk lathered chicken. The dining room at Woody Creek Tavern is always packed and the walls are papered with snapshots of regular patrons, including famed gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson. This happy place is one of the few spots in Snowmass that invites one to plop down at the bar and enjoy a cold draft while watching a game on TV. The Wine Spot is a bar located in the Hyatt Grand Aspen. It serves wine by the glass and also has a full fledged bar. Be it Chardonnay or the Classic Mai Tai, you name it and they have it. They also serve light fare like Tomato Basil Hummus or Antipasto. The connoisseurs of fine wine will be glad to visit the place. You can also order beers and liquor online.

An atmosphere as lively and enthusiastic as the name ("come on, come on!" in Spanish) is to be found at Venga Venga, where the Mexican fare is delicious and the tequila just never stops flowing. The location affords spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, and the fire pits on the patio literally give you a warm welcome.
