Low Spirits launched itself in 2009 to fill the late-night live music niche in North Valley. Once people started actually being able to find it (the windowless low building and nearly invisible sign are seemingly not designed for easy access, and lend the place a Speakeasy vibe), it became immensely popular among locals. Usually hosting three bands per night from around 20:00 till about 1:00, Low Spirits features a range of musical styles, with a predominance of blues and jazz.
