Across the Street Bar is named in honor of its prime location across the highway from Southern Methodist University. Across the Street Bar faithfully books local rock and alternative bands Thursday through Sunday nights. Locally known for its unique 'Psychedelic Drum Night' and free African dance lessons every Wednesday, this small bar is a popular hangout for the twenty-something crowd. The decor consists of a converted automotive garage with pool tables and a great patio.
