Maluken Japanese Restaurant is popular for several reasons. With Japanese decor and waitresses outfitted in kimonos, the restaurant serves the standard Japanese fare with a sit-down sushi bar. The grilled yellow tail rolls and salmon sushi are quite good. Maluken draws many students and professors from nearby Boston University. It gets a little loud at times, but the crowd seems to enjoy it. Maluken serves beer, wine and sake.
