The Tampa Theatre, now a national landmark, opened in 1926 as one of the finest theaters in the U.S. The beautiful Mediterranean-style interior is reminiscent of a grand courtyard filled with antiques, statues and marble tiles. It has two levels, with 1446 seats total, the second level holding numerous balconies. Besides showing movies and musicals, the theatre also holds events and yes, wedding receptions! Along with all of this there are dining areas of International quality like the Thai Corner, Sumo's Thai Cafe and a Mediterranean Cafe called Paninoteca.
