This warmly decorated historic Victorian home was built in 1861 to house the superintendent of mines and his family. It is now a warm and inviting bed and breakfast. Many unusual features are displayed in this home; 12-foot ceilings and 14-inch floors, just to name a couple. The 164-square-foot arched vault once stored millions of dollars in gold and silver bullion. Guests are encouraged to browse during their stay. Be sure to visit the parlor where you can find a library with many books on Virginia City and the west. You can also enjoy morning or evening historical walking tours. Revisit the era of the gold mining boom in Nevada. This stone structure was built in 1859 and is the oldest hotel in Nevada. The unique hotel has 15 rooms, each decorated in its own individual style. Antique beds and other period furnishings adorn the guest rooms. Four of the rooms feature fireplaces, wet bars and balconies. The hotel also features the Crown Point Restaurant with menu items often including exotic foods such as buffalo and alligator. Downstairs, you will find an old bar with original stone walls and brick floor.

Built in 1879 by Duane Bliss, it was the largest home in Carson City at the time. Nevada's first telephone lines ran from his place of business in Glenbrook to the mansion. The family also had a railroad spur on the north side of the residence to accommodate their own railroad car. The house was remodeled in 1994 and retains the character of the original. Breakfast is served in the main dining room at a 15-foot handcrafted table on a Carrara marble floor. The ceiling boasts two Sevres chandeliers and a hand-painted angel nestled in clouds.
